Multi-Adventure Family Cruise and Bike - 8 Days

Multi-Adventure Family Cruise and Bike
21900

Our Multi-Adventure family Cruise in Croatia is particularly well-suited for families. There is something for everyone: culture for mum, sport for dad, sunbathing for the daughter and pirate flair for the son.

Spend a week on a charming boat that takes you from island to island. You and the family can enjoy an exciting week on board and let yourself be pampered by the attentive and hospitable crew. Along with overnights in ports, we also spend some nights in quiet bays.

Decide each day whether you would like to go on a bike trip or on a hiking tour. Maybe go rafting or rather stroll leisurely through the unique small harbour towns of the Adriatic – or simply spend the day relaxing on board. This is indeed a great way of exploring Croatia’s most attractive landscape.

Suitable for Children

On our regular bike and boat tours, our focus is on cycling. We believe that athletic children of 10 years and older can manage our regular cycling tours on their own.

Our experience, however, tells us that children like to be with other children, and when on holiday, they like to take part in all kinds of activities. For this reason, we offer our Multi-Adventure tours, on which each family member will find the right balance between activity and leisure. Dad cycles to the highest point on the island while mum participates on a guided city tour through the picturesque old town. Junior is promoted to a pirate captain by his new friends and the daughter can enjoy the peace and quiet while sunbathing on the sun deck.

Multi-Adventure Cruise combines the popular cruise concept with a variety of activities. You will spend a week on a charming motor yacht that takes you from
island to island. You will bike, hike, swim, paddle and can even go on a river rafting trip. Or take a leisurely stroll through the unique small harbour towns or simply spend the day relaxing on board. Our well-informed cruise guide will always point out various possible activities or tours.

This cruise is especially suited for children for an unforgettable experience. We have children’s bikes for body sizes above 1.20 m/4 ft and for smaller children, we offer trailer bikes or children’s seats.

If you book a three-bed cabin, you receive a 50 % discount on the basic tour price. All children up to age 16 receive a 25 % discount on the basic tour price (note: not combinable with the 50 % discount)

Day 1
Saturday Trogir (Embarkation) – Island of Šolta

Individual arrival by car to Trogir or by plane to Split airport, which is about 5 km/3 mi. away from the harbour of Trogir. After check in on the motor yacht (from 2:30 pm) the first short cruise starts around 3 pm from Trogir to the Island of Šolta. On the way we have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim from the boat. The first night is spent on the Island of Šolta.

Day 2
Sunday Islands of Hvar and Vis

We go on a morning crossing to Hvar Island with its island capital Hvar town. After arrival, we take a city tour across the large Renaissance Square which is surrounded by the cathedral and many late gothic palaces. There we hike to the Spanish fortress that towers above the town. From here we have a fabulous view of the city and the surrounding islands. At about noon our boat takes us to Vis town on the island of Vis, which was already colonized by the Greeks and is the most remote inhabited island from the Dalmatian mainland. Grap the opportunity to take a refreshing swim from the boat. Ashore at Vis our tour guide will take us on a nice guided group walk in the afternoon to the fortress of St. George which played an important role in the maritime history of the island. Overnight stay at Vis.

Day 3
Monday Island of Korčula

Early in the morning crossing to Račišće on the island of Korčula. An afternoon cycle tour takes us eventually to the same island capital. We take a little tour through the town to see the highlights: St Mark’s Cathedral where we can admire the famous altarpiece by Jacopo Tintoretto. The alleged birthplace of explorer Marco Polo is worth a visit as well. There is also a magnificent view from the tower of the house onto the sea. The rest of the evening is spent in the bustling port town Korčula.

Day 4
Tuesday Island of Hvar

We go on a morning crossing to Stari Grad situated on the north side of Hvar Island. After a crossing including a swim break and lunch onboard we cycle nicely from Stari Grad to Jelsa. Around 5:30 pm we enter the boat and leave for our overnight stay close to Brač. Let the evening fade away anchoring with a lovely Captains dinner.

Day 5
Wednesday Islands of Hvar and Brač

After breakfast, the morning offers us enough time to indulge in water activities and group activities on the beach, suitable for everyone to participate before we leave for Lovrecina. From here a hike (approx. 1.5 h) leads us along the shoreline to Postira. Here you are able to enjoy an evening meal in a typical Konoba and relax in a sea-side café as the sun sets after an eventful day. Overnight stay at Postira.

Day 6
Thursday Cetina river Canyon – Omiš – Island of Šolta

After a short crossing to Omiš with its pirate castles, we have either the opportunity to participate in a rafting tour on the Cetina River (not included in the tour price) or explore the old town of Omiš and its pirate castle on foot. In the afternoon we are able to swim from the boat before cruising to Rogač on the island of Šolta where we will spend the night.

Day 7
Friday Island of Šolta – Trogir

In the first half of the day we can either cycle or take a bus transfer to Goran, a local beekeeper to participate in an interactive workshop on bees, their purpose, products and the life of a beekeeper. Goran is an expert in capturing the fascination of young and old with the enthusiasm he has for the bees which he keeps. Whoever wishes to cycle more, can cycle on to Maslinica before returning to Rogač where the boat will wait. Lunch will be enjoyed on board during the last crossing by boat for the week as the captain charters his course back to Trogir. Along the way, the anchor is dropped for an enjoyable dip in the Adria directly from the boat. In the afternoon we enjoy Trogir by taking a walk through the UNESCO protected old town. Traditionally the last evening before disembarkation is spent cheerfully with guests, crew and guides.

Day 8
Saturday Trigir (Disembarkation)

After breakfast, it's time for disembarkation until 9 am and individual trip home or extended stay. Would you like to see more of Croatia than Dalmatia? Then we recommend our extension program at Plitvice Lakes in combination with Zagreb (please see More Info).

Should some activities require a bit more in the way of physical fitness, the tour guide will point this out.

Helmet use is mandatory on all bike rides. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own well-fitted helmet. Rental helmets are available on board in limited number (reservation requested).
